Kara Over was suffering from migraines

                 'BACK' TO HEALTH

I was sick to the teeth of being so limited to where I could go and what I could do in fear of another MIGRAINE. The pain was so awful all I could do was go to bed and try to sleep it off with very strong painkillers. This was a regular occurrence at least once a week.

I was asked if I had tried a Chiropractor as there might be a reason for these attacks as there was no pattern to them.

I decided to book an appointment with THAMES CLINIC. Or Rupert B Simpson' where I was assessed and treated. My first appointment was on 18th May 2004 and may I quote Touch wood! I have not had a Migraine since'.

The treatment is not painful in anyway and you feel completely straight 8a upright when you leave. I must say that you feel parts of your body structure moving and aligning itself, which can feel very weird and peaceful all in one.

Please don't take the above for granted, if you're-suffering like I was try it.... What have you got to lose?

I was always a sceptic before I visited but now even though I am not it pain I will still ensure I visit regularly to be `Put Straight!'

With many thanks to you........................ Dr Rupert B Simpson Kind regards

Nancy was cancelling her holiday for low back pain

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dr.Simpson. I was recently off work with extreme back pain and was about to cancel a holiday. I decided to consult a chiropractor and very luckily, found Dr.Simpson. I felt the benefit of his treatment after just one visit and after four, I was moving freely and able to proceed with my plans. Rupert is a warm friendly person, for whom other people’s comfort and well-being are paramount

Tim was giving in to osteo-arthritis

                       The Thames Clinic
I was introduced to the Clinic by my wife, who was undergoing treatment for a lower back problem.

I was skeptical at first because I suffer from osteo-arthritis and thought it unlikely that I could benefit. One particular condition which has improved significantly relates to my neck and shoulders. Before my sessions I was unable to tilt my head back, to raise my chin up. For example I was unable to swim using the breaststroke, because I could not hold my head out of the water to breathe. Also raising my arms resulted in pain in my shoulders and neck. This has been an ongoing problem for a long time and I have visited a hospital consultant for cortisone injections, which did not relieve the pain or help the mobility.

My ability to rotate my neck/head has now improved dramatically and the pain and unpleasant grinding noise which accompanied such movements in the past, has gone. Towards the end of the sessions, I was able to paper a ceiling, with my arms above my head and with my head tipped backwards. Tins task would previously have been very difficult but now I am able to move my head, neck and shoulders entirely without pain.

I was very impressed with the initial assessment process and the equipment on site. Dr Simpson was patient, encouraged me to ask questions and above all, actually listened to what I was telling him and sought W resolve the problems I described.

I have not hesitation in recommending the Clinic to anyone who may be experiencing similar problems; it is surprising what can be achieved.

Yours sincerely

Carole could not sit without back and neck pain

About 7 years ago I had a very nasty skiing accident, which resulted in a broken coccyx. Whilst the bone healed itself, it had become very painful to sit for any length of time. However, as my work was office based, I adapted my seating position that resulted, over n period of about 18 months, in throwing my spine out of line lending to severe back pain and neck spasms.

The situation became so severe that I was in pain for about 95% of the time and was taking on average 5 days a month off work. I, of course, visited my GP and was prescribed physiotherapy sessions, pain-killing injections directly into my spine and painkillers, none of which gave any relief.

Eventually, on the recommendation of a colleague of my husband I tried chiropractic treatment; the difference was remarkable. It took n period of about 8 weeks to notice a significant difference in both the pain levels I was experiencing and the posture I was adopting. Gradually over a few months the pain went to 30% of the time until today when I can honestly say that I am 97% pain free.

I never thought I would regain full use of my back to the extent that I have but I still attend regular treatment sessions to maintain it, as I have no desire to return to the pain and discomfort I experienced before.

Gordon is now zipping about

Dear Dr Rupert,

It was with a certain amount of trepidation that I booked an appointment to see you as I had heard varying reports as to what chiropractors do. However such was the pain and discomfort I was in I decided to take a chance.

Having booked I was pleasantly surprised by the reception I received, a full examination and a recommended course of treatment in a modern surgery with full explanation of my problem.

Having now just about come to the end of the treatment I am able to move more freely than I have for many a long time and would recommend anyone to visit you and feel the benefits that you can impart.

I would like to thank you and your receptionist Maureen for the jovial communication which became a part of the treatment.

Yours sincerely

Gordon. R Cleaver.

Julie wasn’t aware that Chiropractic would improve her overall health through her nervous system

I originally injured my back at the age of eighteen. I was prescribed pain killers and was confined to bedrest. My condition gradually improved over weeks, but never rectified itself.

I am now thirty four and have had sixteen years of back problems and have suffered varying degrees of pain, at worst being whilst I was pregnant and was unable at times to stand properly and had to shuffle along, hunched like an old woman. I made an appointment to see a chiropractor – unsure of what to expect. I understood chiropractic doctors realign the spine, but was unaware this improves your overall health through your nervous system.

After my first treatment I could feel changes in my body immediately. I experienced slight discomfort in some adjustments in my first couple of treatments. As I’ve continued with my treatments my body feels stronger, more balanced and I can see the difference in my body. I look forward to making a complete recovery.

OUR ROAD TO RECOVERY

After a visit to my local G.P., I was told I had damaged my trapezium, for which he prescribed "diclofenic", an anti-inflammatory.

When the pain eased only moderately, on return, I inquired, "Would a session with a massage therapist or chiropractor help"? To which he replied, “yes, it may do."

After scanning my local directory, my eye's fell upon the THAMES CLINIC. I made enquiries and booked to see Dr. Rupert Simpson.

After a thorough examination I explained that I also had an issue with two vertebrae in my lumbar region, namely “L4 & L5" as Oesteo-Arthritis, and " Degenerative changes" in the -corresponding discs. Rupert explained that although he could not reverse this condition, he could certainly halt its progression.

As to my shoulder, his method of treatment saw that off in no time! The level of freedom I now have with regards to my back means that I no longer suffer from pain after a period of activity that I had learned to live with.

Having been so impressed, I recommended that my wife see Rupert after Complications with an operation on her back regarding a herniated disc and trapped nerves.

After a twelve week course of treatment, and now having "fine tuning" Visits, my wife exclaims she now feels her "Old young self "! Rupert also encouraged her to "see" herself fit in steps by means of an imaginary journey through- an imaginary door to help in gauging her level of improvement!!

So, it is with much thanks and greatest regards that I would not hesitate in recommending this practice to anyone who feels that they could benefit from this kind of "hands on" treatment.

16th January 2007.

Dear Dr. Simpson,

The doctors told me that my shoulders pain would never get better and that it would get worse following a diagnosis of a compressed vertebrae. Unfortunately, they could do nothing.

I put up with it for many years until I had pain and pins and needles in my arm. I went back to the doctor who said “yes an operation was possible” and sent me for an X-ray. The results of the X-ray would take up to 3 weeks. At this point I decided to seek alternative help and come to you.

After a week the shoulder pain was minimal and in 3 weeks the pain and pin and needles in my arm had all but gone.

I am most pleased with your treatment and will carry on in the belief that this will mean not having to need surgery.

Thank you,

Margaret Dell
